Peter Plianthos 10/12/2022 12:46 PMItems to donate: Last weekend I cleaned my room and went through a good amount of my belongings, thinking about what I do and don't use. I found some clothes, shoes, etc. which I plan on either giving away or donating. -
Peter Plianthos 10/07/2022 2:00 PMMeatless meals: I usually eat a meatless meal for lunch. Yesterday, I had a peanut butter banana sandwich (tastes better than it sounds), 2 hard boiled eggs, and some yogurt and granola. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCultivating Communities Pull Together Items to DonateHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Peter Plianthos 10/06/2022 12:48 PMI try to prevent myself from accumulating too much stuff by really thinking about my purchases. A great way to do this is just give the decision time. Depending on the cost or size of the purchase, I will give the decision time... a week or even longer. This way, I avoid those impulsive thoughts of "I need this right now," or "I can't pass this good deal up!" Many times, when I buy something on sale, I bought it because of the sale, rather than because I really needed it.-
Arturo C Romua, Jr. 10/07/2022 4:27 AMWhen we're grocery shopping, my finance does a similar thing where she holds onto an item in her cart...and really asks the question of need vs want while going down the aisles . 80% of the time, she leaves x item(s) before checking out :)
