The community in which I work tries very hard to keep the streets and sidewalks clean, but due to a high homeless population there is always some trash.  I take disposable gloves with me, and have found things like hypodermic needles.

I listened to Bright Line Eating and learned about the science behind food addiction. This reinforces the info I've learned through the Food Revolution Network about how quality of food impacts our health, our mood, our energy, our immune systems, our environments, and global sustainability.  Everything is connected.

Participating in the EcoChallenge for the past 5 years has really made me aware of the impact my lifestyle choices have on the environment, sustainability, and fellow humans.  I have made small but meaningful and lasting changes that I believe will help create a better future for not only me but future generations.
