KOGILAN SUBRAMANIAM 10/21/2022 12:26 AMA citizen-initiated ballot measure includes a law or constitutional amendment introduced by citizens through a petition process either to the legislature or directly to voters. The number of petitioners needed to adopt the ballot measure varies in each state. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Make Zero-Waste MealsHow did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?
KOGILAN SUBRAMANIAM 10/21/2022 12:15 AMDiscarding spoiled leftovers as well as excess food might not seem like a big deal, but the effect is dire. Such actions are classified under food wastage, which happens to be one of the leading strains on finances, social interaction, and the environment. A quick evaluation of most households shows that most foods are wasted because many people do not keep track of their food inventory. In light of this, some people have started adopting what is known as a zero-waste food lifestyle to curb food waste. The war against food wastage starts with such actions. Let’s see, what does this lifestyle entail? Today we’ll discuss the principles of a zero-waste food lifestyle, including what you could do to minimize the amount of food wasted. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
KOGILAN SUBRAMANIAM 10/20/2022 7:59 PMWe write our goals in notebooks, we review them daily, we create vision boards, and we scratch our heads wondering why some of our dreams aren’t coming true. But that’s partially because we confuse the “dreaming” with the “remaining true.” Remaining true to our dreams requires certain essential ingredients if we’re going to live a successful creative life.1. Bias Towards Action
2. creative habit
3. Support system
4. Mindful consumption habits
5. Commitment
