Enacting Equity
LEARN ABOUT/SUPPORT A MARGINALIZED COMMUNITY
Attended Science in the Cinema documentary to learn about the marginalized drug user community and the upscaled challenges they face with the new highly-addictive and toxic chemical drugs that have hit the local market. The event was followed by a panel of medical and community harm reduction activists. I've signed on to be trained to administer Naloxone injections to overdose victims as a prelude to attending occasional walkthroughs. I'm also spearheading the conversation about youth mental health education initiatives at my local middle school.
Balancing Consumption
Research Impact Investing
I will spend 30 minutes learning about impact investing and/or my current investment portfolio to determine if they align with my values.
Balancing Consumption
Develop a Work-Life Balance
During the work day, I will schedule time for breaks to practice work-life balance.
Cultivating Communities
Donate Blood
I will donate blood in my community to make sure there are adequate supplies for routine medical services and emergencies.
Balancing Consumption
Repair a Broken Item
I will repair at least one item that is broken, but is repairable. This might be items like garden tools, sewing machine, small appliances, electronics, clothing, and more.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?
