  • Reflection Question
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

    Maya Hinkova 10/19/2020 3:56 AM
I don't experience any barriers using reusable water bottle in my everyday life. It has become a habit for me for some time now.
  • Reflection Question
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

    Maya Hinkova's avatar
    Maya Hinkova 10/19/2020 3:55 AM
Walking is more peaceful and enjoyable than driving.
  • Reflection Question
    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Maya Hinkova's avatar
    Maya Hinkova 10/19/2020 3:54 AM
One can incorporate quality time with friends during exercise when one attends group trainings.
Also to spend more time in nature you can go jogging in a nearby park.
  • Reflection Question
    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    Maya Hinkova's avatar
    Maya Hinkova 10/19/2020 3:52 AM
A mainly plant-based diet could reduce other environmental impacts, such as those from fertilizers, and save up to quarter use of both farmland and fresh water, etc.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Maya Hinkova's avatar
    Maya Hinkova 10/19/2020 3:50 AM
Because of the recent steep decline in prices, developing countries are embarking on higher meat consumption at much lower levels of gross domestic product than the industrialized countries did some 20-30 years ago. Urbanization is a major driving force influencing global demand for livestock products.
In short, even if you aren't already a vegetarian, cutting out some meat, especially red meat and large predatory fish, and eating lower on the food chain overall can help significantly lower your personal greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Reflection Question
