  • Reflection Question
Food Buy From a Farmers Market
What is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?

In the last year, for health and for environmental reasons we made the decision not buy any meat or dairy products. Since we don't have those readily available we are able to make meatless and vegan meals every day to reduce our overall intake of meat & dairy.
  • Reflection Question
    Health Happiness
How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

Focusing on the things we have and the privileges we enjoy it helps us to see the things we can impact and influences we could have. Gratitude and positivity can be spread like wildfire serving as great motivators to work towards widening our impact for a better world.

I am amazed at how comprehensive this website is, with great resources.  I can see how it might become at regular tool for guiding growth in all areas of life.
  • Reflection Question
    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Isabel Hutson's avatar
    Isabel Hutson 10/06/2021 9:00 AM
In the past year, I have enjoyed scheduling time with friends and family. They have been receptive to more active activities together like walks, hikes and that helps me stay active.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Isabel Hutson's avatar
    Isabel Hutson 10/06/2021 8:59 AM
More access and more affordability to meat than other places. Eating more meat affects many systems globally particularly climate change and pollution. The ways we have gone about commercial fishing and commercial farming are proving more harmful and should be reworked to more truly sustainable solutions (smaller scale, locally sourced, protect more of the oceans and land etc.)
  • Reflection Question
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    Isabel Hutson's avatar
    Isabel Hutson 10/06/2021 8:56 AM
I get about 5-6 hours of sleep on average. I'd like to go to bed earlier to make sure I get at least 7 hours of sleep on average.
