OK. I have not been as active as I would have like.
  • Reflection Question
Waste Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

Reuse the items you have, making them over, or join your local Buy Nothing Facebook group to exchange items for reuse.
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Learn About Constructive Communication
How can you, your loved ones, the community, and environment all benefit from constructive communication?

If you can communicate without accusation and keeping it positive even with criticism, people are so much more receptive.
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Engage In Active Listening
What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?

I learned that spotty listening is a hard habit to break!
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Prevent Recycling Contamination
What have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?

    Julie Nix's avatar
    Julie Nix 10/26/2021 9:47 AM
I learned that the local recycling drop off is no longer there and it's actually harder to recycle certain things than it used to be. That is a real bummer.
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Choose Two-Sided Printing
Choosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?

    Julie Nix's avatar

It is encouraged, and even pre-set, company-wide. Figuring it out on my home printer was hard, but so simple I felt silly once I found it!
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    Julie Nix 10/26/2021 9:42 AM
I know I don't get enough, but I don't want to give up my awake time. Life is short. I want to enjoy it!
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Go for a Daily Walk Outside
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

    Julie Nix's avatar
    Julie Nix 10/26/2021 9:41 AM
I feel more energized and when I do it in the afternoon, I don't feel like I need to take a nap!
  • Reflection Question
    Nature Explore My Area
How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?

Knowing and understanding what is around you can enhance your feelings of preservation and stewardship.
