The fight for the Old Growth Forests in BC is critical and this next year is the last chance to save them.  97% of them are gone.

The latest news was well explained on CBC Oct. 1st "The Current". Here is the Link:   https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-63-the-current/clip/15869648-the-fight-old-growth-forests-continues-b.c.-sudanese

Here is a great documentary on Mother Trees, how trees share resources and are connected, and how old trees are essential to the vitality of a forest.

Becoming less wasteful is not enough. Using less carbon is not enough. We need to go through a paradigm shift away from "sustaining" to "flourishing".

I just joined the ecochallenge today.
There is still shocking Climate Change statistics
    - Over 50 per cent of all our CO2 emissions have occurred since 1990, and a third since 2005.
    - Carbon emissions are on track to rise by 16% by 2030, according to the UN, rather than fall by half, which is the cut needed to keep global heating under the internationally agreed limit of 1.5C. "
