Impact investing isn't only a chance to put your money where your values are, it's also a chance to take your money away from where your values aren't.

Where I live we regularly have ballot initiatives related to improving mass transit infrastructure. At a minimum getting educated about the issue, discussing amongst my circle, and voting is pretty easy opportunity to impact policy and infrastructure that affects transportation, the environment, and community needs.

Build resilience by planting landscapes that are native to the area and won't require much additional watering. For food gardens, install drip irrigation to be as water efficient as possible.

EV's have lower total cost of ownership. This is one of the factors that my companies fleet and sustainability managers pointed to as a driver to gradually switch to EVs.
