  • Reflection Question
Food Try a New Way to Prep
Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA or another trusted source. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

  • Reflection Question
    Health Take Control
How do environmental health, community health, and your personal health intersect?

    Kimberly Tan's avatar
    Kimberly Tan 10/07/2021 9:26 AM
If we don't do our part to conserve, renew and enhance our environment, it will affect our health, ecosystem, community, future generations and so on. Just like the creation of plastic was meant for reusability, but due to it being so low cost to product, it went out of control and now the past's lack of control has left us with plastic trashing our oceans.

I love to get used clothes, because I can get branded clothes for a fraction of the original price and do my part to keep it out of the waste generated by the fashion industry.
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

    Kimberly Tan's avatar
    Kimberly Tan 10/06/2021 9:09 AM
I feel happy that I have kept 1 extra bit of plastic out of the ocean each time I bring my own tumbler
