    Community Support Native Communities
Indigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, "most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation." Why is balance important to sustainability?

Today we hosted a 3rd grade field trip from St. Columban, They discovered native plants, collected seeds and observed pollinators. They went on a hike in the woods too. Yes three hours but in three groups. The engagement of the children was heartwarming.

I read on someone’s feed how they advocate for eating less meat and raising livestock with care, and sustainably.
I realized some years ago how much I can reduce my carbon footprint by giving up meat completely, and I did. I have been very happy with that choice and have never regretted it.
