This challenge has legitimately changed some behaviors for me long term and has given me insights and education opportunities every single year - so I gladly participate. Thanks as well to all who selflessly partake in order to make our community better.

Runoff is a major contributor to pollution - so everything we use on our lawns, sidewalks and roofs (major chemical application locations) ends up in our water eventually. Being mindful of what you're sending in to runoff is an important part of your ecological contribution to your community.

I've been using a reusable water bottle for years now. My only barrier to using a reusable water bottle is remembering to take it with you. Since I was forgetting my water bottle at home, I bought one for work. Now I have two, one for work and one for home.

I didn't have a problem switching to a reusable coffee cup. I love my new cup, it holds more coffee and it keeps it nice and hot. I leave my cup at work so I don't forget it at home. I really enjoy using my reusable mug and knowing I'm making a difference for the environment.

I already do. I try my best to recycle everything. When I can't I try to find a good home for the items. If the item can't be reused, repair or repurposed, I then use Ridwell to recycle.
