""You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference..." ~Jane Goodall"
Regular health check-ups help prevent problems before they start. I will schedule or attend a medical, dental, or mental health check-up to take care of my well-being.
I will find out what stocks and bonds are in my investment account portfolio to determine if they align with my values (e.g. environmental, social responsibility, community).
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 30 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.
Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 1 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.
I will take a walk each day.
I will replace 60 minutes of screen time each day with other activities.
I will meditate or create a moment of silence for 5 minutes each day to reflect on things important to me.
I will volunteer 4 hours in my community during the challenge.
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
I will find out where to recycle the recyclable items that I can't put in recycling dumpsters or my curbside bin.
I will find out what food programs are in my area and donate food and/or other items that they request.
I will spend 45 minutes finding out where landfills and/or toxic waste sites are situated in my region and which communities are most impacted by these sites.
I will shop at a farmers market or food co-op to support local farmers and businesses. By doing so, I may be able to learn more about who produces the food I eat and goods I buy.
