  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
What did you notice about your habits or routines when limiting your showers to five minutes? What changes — if any — do you think you’ll continue long-term?

I had a lot more time each morning than I thought I did, my usual 45-50 minute routine Was shortened to nearly 20-25 minutes without unnecessarily long showers. I will absolutely be continuing this long term
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking, or driving?

I feel like while biking I am much more likely to smile or wave at a familiar face or another individual who is also community by bike. I am definitely more engaged and feel like I am more than just another count to the population when I'm biking to class.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

    cameron burch 10/13/2025 11:00 PM
why I feel certain ways I do, for example why I'm feeling like I'm not doing enough. or why I feel unaccomplished even after what seemed like a busy day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

for a culture that spends nearly all time indoors there is an implication that they have lost touch with that connection, becoming detached from the outdoors means a lot. you lose touch with the natural world, become less aware of the seasons, less aware of environmental change in the world around you, and lose a lot of emotional strength and willpower to fight things like depression and sadness.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

by practicing gratitude and gratefulness I can not only keep myself leveled by realizing how easy it is to make someone's day. with how little it takes to compliment someone its shameful how little people do it.
