REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Calculate My Carbon FootprintWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon impact? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon impact?
Ann Davis 10/26/2022 1:43 PMI will work to incorporate more vegetarian meals and shop locally.
We just had new siding installed on our home with new insulation, we recycle/compost, and we donate/sell as many items as we can to keep them out of a landfill. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Buy UsedHow easy was it to find the product you needed used? What other venues/stores were useful?
Ann Davis 10/26/2022 10:40 AMMy son is into Legos and is happy to search to find pre-owned sets from ebay, StockX, Mercari, and Offer Up. I use OfferUp a lot to sell stuff and I am going to attend the NewPort ski swap to sell some of our old skis/boots. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnacting Equity Use only Green TransportationIf you had to change your usual transportation methods, how easy was it to switch to sustainable transport? What did it feel like to utilize only sustainable transport?
Ann Davis 10/26/2022 10:37 AMI walk a lot and don't mind picking up a few groceries while I am out and about. Also, prefer to take the light rail to sporting events rather then pay and park. However, I still rely on the car for trips to the grocery store for my weekly shopping trip for a family of 4 and we wouldn't be able to go to our favorite pumpkin patch without a car. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Ann Davis 10/26/2022 10:33 AMNot surprising, we as humans are quite wasteful. It is easier to throw something away than re-use. Our teenage boys would rather order food/take out than eat leftovers. That money could go to personal use (vacation, home projects) or charity
