  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
What surprised you most about your water footprint, and how did it influence your perspective on water use? What changes can you make to reduce your water consumption, and how will these impact your daily routine?

Something that surprised me the most is the diet portion of water usage in my household. I live in a five person apartment and I am primarily vegetarian but the rest of my roommates eat meat. This makes our diet use 864 gallons of virtual water a day, which was very shocking. I want to change my personal water consumption by remembering to save electricity. Including unplugging unused lamps, chargers, and lights. This will impact my daily routine slightly, as I will just have to take a few seconds to unplug the items, and a few extra seconds to plug them back in.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
Where in your life do you emit the most carbon? What change are you willing to make in your daily life to reduce this output?

I admit the most carbon through travel. I own my own car, but I also often carpool with limited use of public transportation. I am willing to walk more and drive less to reduce this output.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
How is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?

    Jazlyn Faldalen 10/13/2025 1:33 PM
Creativity is a necessity when practicing simplicity because it makes us have to think about what we do outside of a group mentality, while limiting distractions and creating solutions to the problem of complexity.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

    Jazlyn Faldalen's avatar
    Jazlyn Faldalen 10/13/2025 1:31 PM
I want to spend more time reflecting on my individual impact on the environment while also focusing on the impacts that companies that I interact with or buy from have on the environment so that I am able to make lifestyle changes to better my impact on the planet.

How did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?

I think that exercising daily impacts my energy levels both physically and mentally. I also think that daily exercises helped my mental-wellbeing and overall motivation. I most enjoyed going on daily walks, which helped me to pause and take a break from everything else and just enjoy being outside.
