Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
Water
Take 5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 6 gallons (23 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
Community
Make Sure You are Registered to Vote
I will make sure I’m registered to vote. While I’m at it, I’ll sign up to help others register too!
Community
Learn About Trans, Femme, and Nonbinary Experiences
I will spend 80 minutes learning about the experiences of trans, femme, and/or nonbinary people.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cups to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Food
Enjoy a Meatless Meal
Producing 1 kg of beef emits as much greenhouse gas as driving 150 miles, meanwhile, 1 kg of veggies or grains leaves a much lighter footprint! This week, I’ll shrink my climate impact by having 1 meatless meals and/or 1 vegan meals each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterWhat did you notice about your habits or routines when limiting your showers to five minutes? What changes — if any — do you think you’ll continue long-term?
Jack Gonong 10/06/2025 2:44 PMEverything felt much more intentional and purposeful when limiting my shower time. While the time shaved off may not seem like much at first, when compounded with other tasks and routines, it feels like there is some time “gained.” The five minute limit has gotten me to a) begin everything and b) begin in a timely manner, which is what hinders me the most. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhy is voting important to creating a just, sustainable, and thriving world? In what other ways can you actively participate in important decision-making?
Jack Gonong 10/06/2025 2:38 PMVoting is an important way that many people’s voices can be heard. Many are able to have a say in how they want their world run, whether at a local, regional, state, nationwide, or international scale. We are able to make an impact in many ways, whether its actively at town halls and protests, or in the background through awareness and dialogue. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Jack Gonong 10/06/2025 12:46 PMThe main thing that affects the type of cup I use is my time management. It all depends on if I have the time and energy the night or two before to wash the cup(s), as well as how much time and memory I have in the morning. Actively thinking about remembering my cup has definitely made me feel better about my impact and time management, but I am interested to see how this develops later on in the week (written on Monday).
