What are some of the barriers to sharing economies? What is your plan for supporting or creating one in your community?

There are many on Facebook that were easy to join! I think a lot of young people don't have Facebook, so I'm not sure where they would go to find one. There isn't a great system (that I know of) for communities to have a central newsfeed with events, no buy/free swaps, etc. that folks can interact with eachother on. As soon as I joined, I saw what cool stuff folks were posting and needing, and immediately posted several of my own items that were going to go to Goodwill! A sharing economy is so much better than Goodwill - my understanding is that many Goodwill donations go in the trash, and then they mark up the price so much lately that it isn't even accessible to the folks who need it. With a sharing economy, you can cut out the middle man and just give it straight to the person!
