I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.

I will commute by bike 10 miles each day and avoid sending CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.

I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.

I will research the social or environmental issues in my community that matter to me and tell 3 friends and/or colleagues each day about what I learn. I will also share what I learn on the Ecochallenge feed.

Growing plants can be rewarding and can create habitats big and small for wildlife. And, we can grow things almost anywhere! I will spend 20 minutes researching options for growing plants either inside or outside.

I will create a rain garden or bioswale or use rain barrels to collect water for outdoor watering needs.
