    Food
Why do you donate food? How does it connect to your values?

Simply put, because I can. I enjoy shopping for items and often change it up (even though I'm the only one who knows that lol). I put a lot of thinking into it and try to get a range of items. While I don't have children myself, I try to remember to include some of those items too! I can't imagine not having enough, or good, food to eat, whether alone or in a family. It's a terrible thought, and something no one should experience.

Equitable access, environmental justice and creating employment opportunities are just a few advantages of low-income solar programs. Can you think of other benefits that could come from initiatives like this? Which advantages of low-income solar do you find the most compelling?

I think building community could be an advantage. Seeing that groups can volunteer to install these projects means local people help local people. Neighbors will also connect in some way or another, so low-income solar brings people together!

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

Oh gosh, not enough space for this answer! SO many problems sadly, but I guess my biggest concern applies to all of them- lack of care. Some do certainly, but the number of people we need to care to make the changes necessary is simply too low. This ranges from leaders to everyday citizens. Not enough care.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

The resources in the Learn More section didn't help much at all. Terracycle has been a dead end every time I look. "Sign up and join waitlist" for everything, ergo, nothing to act on now. Clearly, there is demand if all the programs are full, so I'm surprised another company hasn't moved onto the scene or Terracycle hasn't had the chance to grow to manage it better.
I knew of, and used, the Recyclopedia site for items that fall into this category but was hoping to discover another resource. No luck. At least I have that though!
