Prem Mani 10/26/2022 9:34 AMIts Diwali, and yes bursting crackers is one of the fun during the festivities. Indeed burst your share of crackers, and have fun, and ensure you are cognizant about animals and neighbors who are sick and may not like the sound. -
Prem Mani 10/24/2022 8:31 PMThey may be a little more expensive, but, biodegradable packaging products will help reducing our waste by a large extent.
-
Prem Mani 10/23/2022 9:32 AMSpending money may be easy for you, but do you really need that item? Buy only if you need something. -
Prem Mani 10/21/2022 9:28 AMThe best way to use less energy is to first conserve it. -
Prem Mani 10/19/2022 9:02 PMBuy your daily groceries from small local business rather than from retail chains. Try to ensure that most of the profit goes to the actual producers, rather than middle persons/companies. -
Prem Mani 10/18/2022 8:12 PMFood for thought, if we drive our ICE cars with the same hypermile’ing attitude, assuming the next fuel station are too few too far, then I am sure our mileage can increase providing us more KM per Litre if fuel. And will work inversely for EV owners if we lose that range anxiety and drive with disdain. -

Segregation of was a critical requirement to recycle, and it starts with us. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONRegenerating Nature Advocate for Forest ProtectionHigher standards of living are very often dependent on moving our environmental costs elsewhere. What are some specific ways the environmental impacts of your own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere?
Prem Mani 10/16/2022 11:54 PMThe costs of environmental damage become the benefits of environmental protection and restoration, if they are thereby mitigated or avoided. There are three broad environmental strategies to deliver these benefits, the ‘triple-de’: decarbonisation, to reduce the level of global warming; detoxification, to reduce the emissions or impacts of other pollutants; and dematerialisation, to reduce the environmental impacts associated with resource extraction, conversion and processing. -
Prem Mani 10/16/2022 11:52 PMIf you come across plastic packaging, when you go to stores, check with them if it is recyclable and or biodegradable. If they are not, make sure you use your influence to push for one of the two. In addition, when you go shopping carry your own bottles and bags to buy your stuff.
