Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 3 disposable plastic bottles from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Nature
Explore a New Trail or Nature Walk
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
Waste
Collect Litter While Plogging or Plalking
Each day, I will go on a plog or plalk for 15 minutes and collect 8 items of litter.
Health
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 120 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Transportation
Choose A Carbon Offset When Flying
Flying emits a lot of CO2 into the atmosphere, which affects air quality and the health of our planet, animals, and people. If buying a plane ticket, I will also buy a carbon offset.

REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Izabella McLaughlin 10/13/2025 9:04 PMSpending time outdoors often leaves me able to really think about how everything has a purpose because I watch how interconnected everything is. It gives me time to appreciate the small things. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Izabella McLaughlin 10/13/2025 8:56 PMSome barriers would be not everyone can afford a nice reusable water bottle. There have been times where I've gone to work and realized I forgot my reusable water bottle and I needed to have water on me, so I picked up a bottled water. I try to have this already be a habit, but I will be more mindful to make sure I bring my reusable water bottle before I leave the house.
