On Saturday, I attended the No Kings march in Portland, Oregon. Over 40,000 attended according to the Oregonian. It was inspirational to see so many people out marching and chanting about making the world a better place.

This week I listened to three episodes from the "Living Earth" podcast. I heard an in-depth story about China's new commitment to lowering CO2 emissions, and even though it would have been better for the climate if China would have started sooner, it's hopeful to hear about their commitment. And, another part of the episode paid tribute to Jane Goodall and her incredible life's work.

That sounds awesome! I'll definitely have to check that podcast out. I think the statistic that absolutely blew my mind most recently was hearing that, as of this spring, China is installing 3 GW of solar power every day. One gigawatt is about as much power as a good size nuclear or coal power plant, and China is installing that much essentially every eight hours. Can you imagine if the entire world were installing that much solar that fast? It's really inspiring to learn about!
