For me, hanging basket works best as it saves space, looks like amazing decor and great for trailing plants.

To help food-insecure regions gain better access to local, seasonal foods, a combination of systemic changes and individual actions is needed. Systematic change like support for agriculture, improve infrastructure, education and awareness. Our action could be reducing food wastage, buy local and seasonal fruits and vegetables, avoid junk foods, growing our own food and donating foods to those in need.

War and conflict are deeply intertwined with environmental degradation and human displacement, creating a cycle that undermines sustainable development. The role justice and peace play in building a sustainable future are:
    1. Peace enables long term planning
    2. Environmental justice

Finally, 2nd biggest festival is approaching near. The festival of lights, colors and gatherings. Don't forget to take precautions like fire and electrical safety, home security, unhealthy and unhygienic foods, over drinking and driving. Have a safe and happy Depawali.

The moment you start living for yourself and don't care about what people say, you will find a real purpose of your life. We should be the first priority in our life, if we are happy and healthy, we can make our loved ones happy and healthy. So, start working on yourself, and ignore the society noise, trust me, you will have a happy satisfactory life. We are born to live for ourselves, not for the so-called society who talk rubbish behind the back.

There is no right and wrong, just my opinion as parent.

Starting parenthood is totally my and my husband's decision, so we owe everything to our child from providing love, care, support, a good education, respecting decisions, teaching self-defense to providing guidance to walk a better path. But in return, we are not keeping any expectations cos the moment expectation walks in, our independency walks aways. As a day passes, the more expectations we keep, the more dependency will be created so being a parent, we are preparing for our retirement and will never think, now my job is done and it's your turn. But having said that, I am not disrespecting the children's love, care, support and the things beautifully done or will do for their parents. Our life is real not reel so happy endings is always not guaranteed. We never know, when storm will come and takes aways everything. If endings are happy and cheerful then we are blessed, may be our KARMA is pure. But if we ever face the storm, then at the time, we have to stand strong independently and survive that without losing our self-respect and pride. And for that our mind and soul from day 1 of the conceiving our son is prepared to live independently, thinking we came alone, may have to live alone and will go alone one day. We will always respect our child's privacy, individuality but never keep any expectations from him and never let him feel our burden and most importantly, even in unconscious mind, never ever say now it's your turn to pay back to us. If this ever happens, I will believe all these years we were being selfish and will be failed as a parent. The most important person in my and my husband's life is the life we had created and raising well "Our Son" the happiest thing ever and god's blessing.

    Nature
Are you a gardener or house plant lover? Why or why not? What do you need to elevate your plant care skills?

    Shabnam Shakya's avatar
    Shabnam Shakya 10/14/2025 9:35 PM

Yes, I am a plant lover and nature lover. It gives me peace and happiness staying close to nature. I normally search for making home-made fertilizer and use that for my plants. To elevate my plant care skills, I think I need to elevate my research in plant science, pest control, sustainable gardening, and new houseplant trends.

Soft speaking with meaningful and valid talks, avoid gossiping, greet everyone with smile and warm gesture, listen to others issues properly before speaking and any judgement, exploring ideas and expressing them with a good homework, appreciating others for their support and apologies if it's actually my mistake and try to improve it to avoid repetition.
