Malonie Snyder 10/16/2024 9:28 AMI'm switching my wardrobe to only eco friendly clothing. Does anyone have a brand recommendation? I'm donating whatever I decide to not keep to my local school and church so they don't end up in a landfill.-
Malonie Snyder 10/17/2024 3:54 AMThanks, Jeanne! My goal is a minimalist wardrobe so I'm all about quality over quantity!

Jeanne Poirier 10/16/2024 7:08 PMHemp whenever possible. Thrift stores to avoid new consumerism - and if you can afford a new item from time to time - Patagonia. Quality, not quantitiy. -
Deepali Shanbhag 10/16/2024 9:47 AMThat’s a fantastic initiative :)

Malonie Snyder 10/16/2024 4:04 AMI'm a visual person. When I saw this it really resonated with me. What are your thoughts?
-
Deepali Shanbhag 10/16/2024 9:52 AMI completely understand! Visuals can have a powerful impact and often convey messages more effectively than words alone.

Malonie Snyder 10/15/2024 5:20 AMI got out my sewing machine, dusted it off, and repaired torn clothing rather than throwing them away like I usually would.-
Malonie Snyder 10/15/2024 7:42 AMThanks, Deepali! It's also really relaxing and fun to sew. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Collect Rain WaterTrace the water that flows down the drain from your house to the largest body of water nearby. What is the route it takes?
Malonie Snyder 10/11/2024 7:32 AMI live in the country and have a well. My water drains to the pond behind my house and and the creek next to my house. I use a reverse osmosis filtration system, so I'm not as concerned about contamination as most people would be.-
Jeanne Poirier 10/11/2024 9:12 PMLucky - I also live remote, have a well and am deeply concerned the deep water source is going away.

Malonie Snyder 10/11/2024 6:23 AMI love to garden, so composting is top on my list. Here's a cheap and easy way to start composting, if you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on one. https://www.younghouselove.com/younghouselovedotcompost/ -
Malonie Snyder 10/08/2024 10:12 AMI am turning into the fermentation Queen and wanted to share how much fun it is to ferment your own food. I've been making kombucha for quite awhile but just started fermenting veggies from my garden. Jars are everywhere lol. Here's a good place to start, if you're curious about it. https://zoe.com/learn/fermentation-101
