Cultivating Communities
Pull Together Items to Donate
Each day, I will find one or more items I can donate to a local thrift or resale shop.
Regenerating Nature
Take Shorter Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute or less showers. Tip: Use a timer to practice or count to 60 a few times.
Regenerating Nature
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 60 minute(s) per day typically spent inside and often with electronics with quality time outside walking, exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, observing nature, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Regenerating Nature
Calculate My Water Footprint
I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste.
Nourishing Food
Weekly Meal Planning
I will reduce food waste, excess carbon and save money by planning my daily and weekly menus so that I only purchase the ingredients needed.
Nourishing Food
Make Zero-Waste Meals
I will cook 2 meal(s) with zero-waste each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption NW Natural Energy Team and Strategic Energy ManagementHow can NW Natural save energy in our buildings and facilities?
Tom Snyder 10/06/2022 10:45 AMKeep doors closed, specifically bay doors at Sherwood, closed so as not to over work the heat or air conditioning to maintain temperature in the building.-
Riley Whittaker 10/06/2022 3:04 PMMake sure lights are off if nobody is using rooms. Many times I have seen offices with lights on even sometimes on floors where nobody is. Also when security walks the floor the motion sensors will turn on dozens and dozens of lights each time they walk a floor, multiplied by many different floors, many times a day.
