REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Less Screen TimeWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Cristina Solberg 10/11/2022 1:50 PMI have started to notice behavior changes in my kiddos from watching screens so often, particularly YouTube Kids. As a result, we are all decreasing our screen time and spending more time outdoors rather than inside and in front of screens. I think the long-term implications are that these generations spending all their time on screens will grow to underappreciate the beauty in the nature around them and could potentially have harmful impacts for our Earth. If our generation and future generations don't appreciate what we have, it will be easily lost. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCultivating Communities Drive LessHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Cristina Solberg 10/11/2022 1:46 PMI have always had a car so I have never been in a situation where I've relied on public transit. To reduce my driving, I am going to attempt to break out of my comfort zone and take the Max into work -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCultivating Communities Pull Together Items to DonateHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Cristina Solberg 10/11/2022 1:44 PMTo prevent myself from buying an abundance of "stuff" in the future, I will join my local buy nothing groups and utilize friends with older kids for hand-me-downs. Any time I add new items to my wardrobe or to the kids wardrobe, the same number of items or more will be removed and donated.
