Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

I had a few clothing items and blankets and pillows that had holes or rips that I was able to sew or patch with iron-on patches. I also had to make some alterations to some clothing so that it would fit better and be more wearable.

How can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?

I am more mindful of what I purchase than I have been in the past. For clothing I ask myself will I wear at least 30 times in the next year. For household items do I have something that already does the job? Is this item really needed?

I love it! That's a fantastic bar to set before purchasing! It's so concrete, and makes it easier to picture if the item will really get some use.

I really like the reflection question you ask yourself about clothing. I'll have to adopt that!
