Surprised by how much water it takes to support our life styles. Changes I can make include eating more veggies, expanding our garden, instlaling a dishwasher in our cottage to reduce hand washing dishes, and reusing the cooking water in our compost bin and to water plants.

Went on a long walk with the little grandkids to the park. It's always fun chasing them around, pushing the swings and lifting them up on the play structures.

I have been trying to eat more fruits and/or veggies at each meal, as well as snacks. It has been reasonably easy and we have been trying to keep them in the house and available. Favs have been mushroom, avocados and melon.

This time of year, there is a lot of heavy yard work to do as well as walking with the grandkids to the park.

Spent a few hours out back cleaning up the yard preparing for the winter. Planning to bring in a few more butterfly bushes and other perennials. Found out we still had a few ripe tomatoes left, yum.

We participated in an event to help assemble 10,000 meal packages which will be distributed to local schools as well as overseas. It was amazing how efficient the set up was.

Continue to educate others about the importance of recycling, reusing, & repairing rather than buying new.
