I took some time to learn about the food supply chain here at SU, and I was surprised about the lack of information available about the sourcing of food that Aramark supplies us! Aramark gets a lot of their products through Sysco, and it is very difficult to track any sort of supply chain past that large distributor, which leads me to assume that much of the food we consume is not source locally, and I fear for the ethics behind which our food is sourced as well.
