Hannah's actions
Community
Meet My Neighbors
Strong neighborhoods are built on connection and trust. I will introduce myself to 5 neighbors or spend time getting to know people in my community.
Food
Follow a Whole Food Diet
Processed foods can be less nutritious for our bodies and take more energy and water to produce, which can create more waste, pollution, and may offer fewer health benefits. I will enjoy 3 meals per day free of processed foods.
Transportation
Walk Instead of Driving
I will walk 2 miles each day instead of driving and avoid sending CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.
Energy
Turn Off Lights and Electronics
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Community
Research Restorative Justice
I will spend 20 minutes learning about restorative justice and conflict resolution opportunities in my own community or state.
Health
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 60 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

Hannah Willer 10/31/2025 9:11 AMToday, I have felt very motivated to reach my challenges today. It might be because it is halloween or Friday! I am glad that I mostly met all of my goals today. Overall, I think this was a goos way to learn more about the environment and keeping ourself and it healthy! -
Hannah Willer 10/30/2025 8:06 AMHonestly, I think that today I have done better about meetinf new people. Someone happened to commented on my last post, and said a simple smile is enough or soemthing along those lines. Which is very true. I guess I always thought I had to stop and have a 5 min conversation with someone but a smile can be just enough!-

Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 10:16 AMOverall, I think that it is going pretty well. I would say I am pretty proud in myself for sticking to it still. I would say my best challenge so far is working out. My one that I struggle with is meeting at least 5 people every day.-
Dina Lomagno 10/29/2025 10:29 AMJust stay consistent with what you can. Even if you just meet 1 new person a day, you are still changing your habits. I try to talk to people wherever I go, whether it's in the grocery store, pilates or at a restaurant, a smile goes a long way for some people! :)

Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 9:41 AMI would say it is going a lot better that what I thought. Even overall, I am really suprising myself with how disciplined I have been with sticking to it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityHow can Restorative Justice help foster the well-being of both people and planet?
Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 9:38 AMBy being able to use dialogue to address harm. This can lead to healing of the individuals and communities. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?
Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 9:35 AMI love to workout. It makes me feel better with how I feel about myself and also helps with stress. I would say the activity I enjoy the most is lifting because I can take my stress out on the weights instead of taking it out on myself or someone I love. It also in a way is benefitting me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 9:33 AMWhere I live is an apartment style dorm. It still is with the University. I mean since it is with the University I do not know if it matter as much but to me I feel like it still does. With having that much energy and power it would say much if more people learned to shut their lights off. Which I have been doing a better job at. -
Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 9:29 AMI would say overall I think I am doing pretty well. I started loging my stuff in today. When I was keeping track I was not to sure how I would do. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Hannah Willer 10/29/2025 9:24 AMI would have to agree with this. I mean eating better foods is better for our bodies than eating processed food. I live on a farm and we are always growing our own foods. Being at college away from home, it can be hard for me to eat better foods when all there is processed.
