October 27 at 6:50 PMMy chosen actions have given me a newfound sense of purpose and personal empowerment. I feel healthier and more holistically mindful. It feels good to see small steps add up and to be part of a larger collective effort toward sustainability. Going forward, I plan to keep the momentum by sharing my successes with my friends and family, setting...

October 26 at 1:47 PMEnvironmental Justice and Community Impact in South Dakota Environmental degradation in South Dakota disproportionately affects Indigenous nations, rural landowners, and communities near vulnerable water systems. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe faces significant threats to treaty lands and water quality from projects such as the Dakota Access...
-
October 26 at 1:39 PMEnvironmental Justice Concerns in South Dakota, 2025 Environmental justice in South Dakota has increasingly centered on land use conflicts and the environmental implications of proposed carbon pipelines. In 2025, state lawmakers passed a ban on the use of eminent domain for carbon pipeline projects, following public opposition and concerns...

October 25 at 10:15 AMPollinators impact my life by providing beauty as my flowers bloom and food to provide sustenance. I can plant marigolds and cone flowers to help the pollinators in my area thrive.

October 25 at 6:19 AMI started this eco challenge because of school but the more I read the more I fell in love with the concept. I feel confident that I have gaine some healthier habits and more self awarenes about the impact I make in the world.

I spent a few minutes this morning reading about impact investing here: https://thegiin.org/publication/post/about-impact-investing/ Now, I feel inspired to...

October 24 at 6:47 AMI believe voting is most effective at the local level, so I consider my vote to be important to my community. My voice is just as important as my neighbours. Other ways to actively participate in decision-making are to become part of a committee or board in the community or, at the very least, attend the town meetings.

October 23 at 7:32 PMMainly by helping me to invest in companies or institutions who are actively and positively using funds to make a change in specific areas that I myself value. However, if I were to get involved with impact investing, I would do extensive research on each company to make sure I was not investing into greenwashing. Currently, I prefer to vote...

October 23 at 7:32 AMIt starts in the gutter and drains into the garden. Any other runoff flows into the town's runoff drains. It was short route but I think it would be neat to follow a drop for a year and see where all it went.

October 23 at 7:26 AMSpending time outdoors is grounding. Its hard to find places where you can only hear the trees talking and not the cars going by. I can find appreciation in the woods where the wind whispers positive affirmation.
