Can’t believe it’s already the end of the month! I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s posts and building more eco friendly habits this October!

Last day of the October 2025 EcoChallenge. Look at some of the collective impact we had in just over a month:
-over 800km not travelled by car
-over 300kg CO2e of GHG emissions saved
    -nearly 50kg of organics composted
-over 200 plastic bottles not sent to landfill
-too many insights and climate action pro tips to count

...and these are only the things we logged!
small ball wins baseball games (go Jays!). Let's keep the climate action going!

Stay tuned for more Guelph Community EcoChallenges to come...

I was able to fix my daughter's play kitchen. The electrical burners stopped working properly which was upsetting to her. I took the electrical components apart, cleaned them up and reinstalled them back as they were before. Getting it back working, gave me a sense of pride and accomplishment as well saved me money in the process.

Last day of the ECO Challenge and I am looking forward to continuing with the changes I have made for the foreseeable future. Its pretty cool how being cognizant and making small changes can add up and make a impact on not only one's life, but also the environment.

It has made me more energized in the morning and gives me something to focus on first thing instead of being half asleep before I leave for work.

I've enjoyed the daily stretching the most, as I sit for 7 hours a day and tend to get stiff towards the end of a work day.

What are other ways you could use the power of the sun to reduce your own environmental footprint?

When possible, I like to dry my towels and clothing outside using the heat from sun instead of my dryer.

Although rain is expected today, I'm still going to do my 30 minute lunch walk to get some fresh air and get some movement in during my work day.

A friend of mine wanted a plant for their new apartment, so my mom was able to give them a cutting from one of hers:)
