Today our team created 30 bags of bird seed and deer corn and an apple to give to our congregation so they could share it with wild animals in their neighborhoods. Our team did this outside at a picnic table and later in the day I spread my bag about my front yard, which is woods.

What did you observe while spending time outside -- through sight, sound, smell and/or touch?

What I observed today was that being intentional about being outdoors in nature has shifted how I view my daily walks with my furry friend. It has become a nature experience, not just a regular daily routine of walking my dog. It has helped create a new sense of wonder in being outside.

I love that you highlight how being intentional with time outdoors can be so beneficial! Too often we get stuck in a routine!

Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Thank you Peggy for the link. Bottom line, use my air conditioner less. That’s a can do.

I listened through the point where the woods' sounds changed from only crickets and insects to birds as well.

Took my cat on a walk & hugged a tree!💖 She didn't like it 😂 It helped me tho, she's an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) for me & bringing her with me helped me get outside!

Kathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How can we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?

I hate the phrase moral obligation. It doesn't exist. No one is obligated. Period. And morals are declared by the person espousing them. They are not static. But gratitude does lead to more appreciation which is a higher vibration and that
brings in even more... and we Earth beings flourish!
