    While the inner core could be used for cooking purposes, the peel or skin could be used for compost which would decompose and make soil. The tops could also go towards compost and the seeds could be planted or even cooked. Many times, there are old remedies that can also be used for the peels and stem too.     Poorer areas and rural areas are more affected because they may not have a voice in local government, much like happened in Flint, Michigan.

    My son moved a few months ago so I texted to remind him to register to vote from his new location. He had already done so. Guess I should stop being such a helicopter mom, but when students are busy studying, maybe a reminder about an important subject such as voting isn't so bad.

    We waste so many things a day, but we don't realize exactly how much. By not throwing away the trash I use in a day I truly noticed how much I wasted and I am now trying to reduce that amount!

    In California we were required to have a recycling bin, but at the apartments here there isn't. Me being guilty, I searched up new places to look for better ways to reduce waste.

    It is important because so many people have fought for the right to vote and if you don't it would be a disgrace to what they sweat, bled, and died for.
