October 27 at 2:57 PMBiggest challenge: Reporting each day. I found the actions quite simple, but getting it recorded was hard. What did I learn: There is such a thing as a water footprint. There is injustice here, in the US, regarding how resources are allocated and available to groups of people. I can live with a lot less water! I learned how to store food to...

October 27 at 2:03 AMI watched a documentary on George Floyd and one though that got to me was how, police officers are less likely to be charged for convicted murders. In George's case , one of the officers had convicted a few murders in the past with no reasoning and let it pass. With what I learned Im more aware about the situation than I was before and its...

October 26 at 11:02 PMThis experience has made me push myself to try and learn more about the environment.

October 26 at 9:27 PMPracticing a work-life balance makes a more sustainable life for me because it makes me more conscious of what I spend my time doing. For example, instead of shopping or spending time on my phone, I am making goals on how to be a better employee or I am focused on my homework.

Camped overnight, Weather could have kept me home but so glad I went as it was a fantastic fall day with sunshine in the afternoon. The coho salmon were plentiful and jumping several feet out of the water in a spectacular celebration of their return to their spawning...

October 26 at 6:06 PMI'm sad that this is ending but I was glad to have participated. I'm definitely more aware now of the wide variety of things I can do to help and the impact that will have. Overall, it's been a great experience and I found myself looking forward to completing my daily challenges. It's a way to add a bit more meaning to your day.

October 26 at 5:15 PMI learned about the importance of advocacy. There are things we can do for social and eco justice that are as simple as writing letters to our state representatives, donating your time or money, and just keeping the conversation about these issues going.

October 26 at 5:01 PMWhat a great experience! I always benefit from being on an EcoChallenge team, but it was such a pleasure to have the broader team spirit of being part of our PCC EcoPanthers Team. I am glad that two of my classes got to participate. Really hoping that all of my students enjoyed the opportunity to shift their individual actions and...
