The videos that I watched addressing food sovereignty were " “How This Indigenous Farmer Is Solving Food Insecurity” by PBS Terra, and “Future of Food: farming in the age of climate change” by Quartz and Retroreport. Michelle Week, a local Portland farmer in the video by PBS Tera addresses approaching modern global food systems by going...

Sunsets in the morning have been extra stunning this October. I'm so glad I picked this action and got to experience a lot of these. As promised, here's a picture from my balcony, enjoy!

During the eco-challenge we got a new smart thermostat. We have it set to turn off when we are at work and lower when we are sleeping. It's been great.

Wow! Did this month just fly by or is it just me? This last week has been really hectic for me, so I kind of slowed down on checking in the day of. I let like 3 days go by doing that because I've been packing. So, because I did that, I donated cash a few times (to bring my points up). This challenge has proved to me that I am very competitive....

So far my family and I have saved 6.0 gallons of water. It's interesting to know what 5 mins in the shower will do to the world.

Voting is important because as a US citizen, it is our responsibility to vote. Also voting helps with the decisions made in your State and city. I can canvas voter registrations and leaflets on information on voting.

Since we've been packing it's almost hard to have the lights off all the time. They had the lights on yesterday in the daytime, I was upset. I know my bill will be lower than last months.

Thankfully, Oregon does not have as egregious of voter suppression as many other states, but it was quite shocking to learn that someone has burned several of our ballot boxes in Portland and Vancouver, WA. Praying that we will not face more losses over the weekend. I am grateful that so many people and organizations help lobby to...

With juggling work, school, and moving responsibilities, it has been extremely tough to keep up with checking in every day. However, I have found myself to be more mindful about things I am grateful for and spending lots of my extra time outdoors. Now that I have a backyard, I spend at least 20 minutes a day in the back with my dog and I think...
