Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

This challenge has been going great. It has provided some extra motivation for me to get outdoors because I know I want to come back in the next day and check off my participation in taking small actions that have the opportunity to collectively make a difference in the world.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Explore My Area
How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?

My hike was so fulfilling. I got off the trail and just went with the flow, which path called to me. I didn't come out where I wanted to but was gratified by knowing exactly where I was. The trees, the sun through the tree branches was warm so I sat on a moss-covered log and prayed and cried for a while. During that time no one was walking nearby but as soon as I decided to move on then there were several people. Strange but peaceful, like nature wanted me to be alone during that time.

Beautiful sharing on a full moon time. Hope one time you'll (a wish for all of us) experience belly laughter instead of tears. Doesn't seem the time for it right now . . . glad you found a safe, outside space!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Collect Litter on a Plog / Plalk
What was your experience like plogging, or engaging in another way to collect litter while being outside? Was there any item you collected that was unusual that you found?

I really enjoy doing this. It is one small and very easy way I can make an impact. My two kids were also motivated to help and picked up three pieces each too.

I found the Eco-challenge to be a great way to reinforce some existing habits & an interesting way to learn more & create new habits.

Participated in the Ecochallenge last year and enjoyed it. Strong believer in reduce, reuse and recycle and practice it daily. Not so much a fan of 'broadcasting' or 'sharing' so hoping this years events include the ability to indicate which activities I already participate in, instead of assuming everything is 'new' and that there isn't a lot of request to post comments like this.

Dark when coming to work so easy to see the sunrise through the building windows.
