REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Calculate My Carbon FootprintWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon impact? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon impact?
Jesica Basualdo 10/21/2022 8:28 AMI would like to plant more trees and save up to buy an electric car. One thing I do practice is eating vegan meals, not all my meals are vegan but I have a least one vegan meal a day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Reduce Social Media UseSocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also create echo chambers and take more time than we realize or intend to give. After completing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Jesica Basualdo 10/18/2022 12:51 PMI feel that my consumption of social media can effect my mood. I don't walk away from social media feeling great but when I am able to find other ways to spend my time like reading a book or journaling I do walk away feeling better and like I nourished a better mood. -
Jesica Basualdo 10/17/2022 8:44 AMI'm enjoying the challenge and awareness it brings. It's also fun to do it as a team! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Eat Plant-Based MealsWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?

REFLECTION QUESTIONRegenerating Nature Spend Time OutsideWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Jesica Basualdo 10/14/2022 8:12 AMWe might feel less connected to nature if we don't ever enjoy the outdoors and less inclined to notice how important it is to protect not only the environment but the wildlife that live in it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Compost Food ScrapsAs you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?
Jesica Basualdo 10/14/2022 8:09 AMI'm realizing how much more waste goes to the landfills if we don't compost. I live in Vancouver WA and we have a great program where they collect the yard debris and food scraps and take them to West Vancouver Materials Recovery Facility where it is reloaded and trucked to Dirt Hugger, a commercial composting facility.
