Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Regenerating Nature Take Shorter Showers
With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

Shorter showers is just the beginning!

Turning the water off when brushing. Using cooking water for the flowerbeds. Not watering the grass…
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nourishing Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    Kelly Dullanty 10/23/2022 7:34 PM
I’d rather use this money on other necessities to keep my family safe and always on my hobbies… there’s always something to spend money on and by meal prepping (which my wife does for the family) we save more- we know this cause on the days we don’t plan and just hit the store we spend so much more money.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Regenerating Nature Calculate My Water Footprint
What is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?

    Kelly Dullanty's avatar
    Kelly Dullanty 10/23/2022 7:31 PM
    Shorter showers
    Large loads of laundry only
    Flush only when solids
Dishes only when sink is full
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Enacting Equity Advocate for Green Spaces
What services, benefits, or value does nature provide for you?

    Kelly Dullanty's avatar
    Kelly Dullanty 10/17/2022 10:00 PM
Nature provides a future. Without a clean, safe space and free of waste and plastics the future can look a lot different than we’d hope for our children.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Enacting Equity Learn About Accessible & Equitable Voter Registration
Why is voting important to creating a just, sustainable, and thriving world? In what other ways can you actively participate in important decision-making?

    Kelly Dullanty's avatar
    Kelly Dullanty 10/12/2022 8:34 PM
Writing to your local government and leading by example on the road to sustainability.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Enacting Equity Research Indigenous & First Nations Communities
Indigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, “most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation.” Why is balance important to sustainability? If you identify with or are a member of an indigenous community, how does your community practice sustainability?

Today was Indigenous People’s Day and my wife celebrated at her work wearing her IPN shirt and I shared what the day meant with the kids. Sharing what today was ties into taking action out in the community which then turns into works of sustainability.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nourishing Food Make Zero-Waste Meals
How did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?

    Kelly Dullanty's avatar
    Kelly Dullanty 10/09/2022 11:28 PM
Zero waste is more fun when skins and peels can go to the animals outside. When we make dinner the chickens and ducks run up to the back deck and wait for the scraps.

No leftovers, no food waste- it all gets eaten and shared.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nourishing Food Donate Food
Why do you donate food? How does it connect to your values?

    Kelly Dullanty's avatar
    Kelly Dullanty 10/08/2022 9:59 AM
We donate food to help those in need. Growing up I didn’t always have an abundance of food and I know the struggles of food scarcity and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Although we may not be rich in money we will always have the means to share.
