What benefits does the sharing economy offer to you and others? If you are a little shy to try, what could be a first step for you?

The sharing economy offers a great way to keep usable items in circulation while savings money. We just purchased my 11 month old son a slightly used Patagonia winter jacket from Facebook marketplace as someone in town had it for sale. It was probably 1/5 of the price, was practically new, and we didn't have to worry about him growing out of it in a month or two, which is very likely. We constantly receive and give away kids clothing and toys with friends and family, avoiding excess resource consumption and waste, and saving purchasing costs and efforts.
