REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Donate FoodWhy do you donate food? How does it connect to your values?
Jane Hewitt 10/25/2022 8:37 AMWhile I did not make a food donation during the course of this challenge, I will be participating in an organized food drive for the community starting next week. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption What is Sustainable Fashion? How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Jane Hewitt 10/12/2022 10:01 AMOnce I became alerted to exactly what sustainable fashion is and how much clothing waste is out there, I have really dug in and tried to make much better (and fewer) textile choices for both me and my family. It can cost more upfront but you get your money back in how long the sustainable fabrics last. I am especially interested in the work of Stella McCartney. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Jane Hewitt 10/06/2022 8:13 AMI am glad this part of the challenge. I have a hard time with the need vs want when shopping; especially when lured in online. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONRegenerating Nature Use Resources for Climate AnxietyIs climate anxiety a new concept for you or something you have been following for sometime?
Jane Hewitt 10/05/2022 10:50 AMI had no idea that the alt-right is pro-environment. I always believed them to be climate change deniers. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Eat Plant-Based MealsWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Make Zero-Waste MealsHow did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?
Jane Hewitt 10/05/2022 10:38 AMI make my work lunch my no waste meal. I bring my own food and make sure there is zero thrown out at end of meal.
