REFLECTION QUESTIONCultivating Communities Practice a Sharing EconomyWhat benefits does the sharing economy offer to you and others? If you are a little shy to try, what could be a first step for you?
Ambuja Kajeepeta 10/12/2022 7:39 AMI bought two banana trees from the farmer's market about 15 years ago. Since then, the trees have given me countless baby trees which I continue to share with my friends and family. This summer alone, I gave away 8 trees. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Track My PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Ambuja Kajeepeta 10/12/2022 7:26 AMI learned never to do impulse buying. If I select something and put it in my virtual cart, I keep it there for a couple of weeks or more, and really think about whether I really need it. The answer is almost always 'No' and then I don't buy it. Try it for yourself and see. I promise you, it really works! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Ambuja Kajeepeta 10/12/2022 7:20 AMWhen I am excited about something I want to buy, I always put it in the cart and wait a week or two, because I know that my desires are usually satisfied just by looking at it over a span of time, and then I no longer feel the need to buy it and bring it into my house. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Eat Plant-Based MealsWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
Ambuja Kajeepeta 10/12/2022 7:17 AMMy favorite vegan meal is steamed rice with any squash or gourd lentil soup. This combination offers a high level of protein with all the amino acids typically found in meat proteins. -
Ambuja Kajeepeta 10/04/2022 5:20 AMI have always taken so much from this Earth that I want to spend the rest of my life giving back. The Ecochallenge gives me so many great ways to do this. And I love going on this journey with a whole community of like minded people, hearing about their challenges and successes.-
Kristin Bloser 10/04/2022 8:52 AMGreat sentiments Ambuja!
