Andrew Kirchner 10/13/2022 2:41 PMTo anybody who wants to take the next step after completing an online energy audit, I had an in-person blower door test/ home energy audit done by Future Energy Dynamics. It was pretty neat, they had an infrared camera looking for air leaks and they were able to make specific recommendations for my house. Most importantly, they were able to recommend reputable contractors who understood the motivation to be energy efficient beyond just financial reasons. I have received many strange looks from contractors when I tell them the main reason I'm trying to be energy efficient is for environmental reasons. The audit itself is ~$500 but they put together a nice report and they are always happy to answer questions, they don't view it as a one-time service. -
