I spent the day fishing and crabbing at the coast in Nehalem Bay. Camped overnight, Weather could have kept me home but so glad I went as it was a fantastic fall day with sunshine in the afternoon. The coho salmon were plentiful and jumping several feet out of the water in a spectacular celebration of their return to their spawning grounds. That sight was my reward! I spent a lot of time trying to video tape them in slow motion. What an experience!

Spent high quality time with my grandson at the zoo on Wednesday this week. The zoo is a great place to connect with nature and learn about animals and conservation efforts. I also brought him to the rebuilding center to show him an alternative for buying building materials. I found just what I was needing for my project.
