Mike Marxen 10/26/2022 8:00 PMI spent the day fishing and crabbing at the coast in Nehalem Bay. Camped overnight, Weather could have kept me home but so glad I went as it was a fantastic fall day with sunshine in the afternoon. The coho salmon were plentiful and jumping several feet out of the water in a spectacular celebration of their return to their spawning grounds. That sight was my reward! I spent a lot of time trying to video tape them in slow motion. What an experience! -
Mike Marxen 10/21/2022 3:23 PMSpent high quality time with my grandson at the zoo on Wednesday this week. The zoo is a great place to connect with nature and learn about animals and conservation efforts. I also brought him to the rebuilding center to show him an alternative for buying building materials. I found just what I was needing for my project.
