REFLECTION QUESTIONBalancing Consumption Repair a Broken ItemWhat did you fix and how did it go? Share a few pics if you can!
Hannah Kliphan 10/23/2022 5:13 PMI fixed the top of my teapot that has been driving me crazy and needed a new screw. I also mended several socks that had been in a 'to eventually fix' pile It felt great to finally get around to fixing them. -
Hannah Kliphan 10/23/2022 5:09 PMIf anyone else selected the activity of watching documentaries/films on racial injustice, I highly recommended 'The Hate U Give' and 'Loving'. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNourishing Food Eat Plant-Based MealsWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
Hannah Kliphan 10/14/2022 5:18 PMMade a homemade mac and cheese with a crumbly cracker topping for dinner tonight. Didn't bother to use a recipe, just made a rue and added milk and all the cheeses I could find in the fridge. It turned out super good! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnacting Equity Listen to Equity & Justice PodcastsWhat podcast did you choose and what did you learn on the podcast you listened to?
Hannah Kliphan 10/05/2022 8:27 AMl listened to Code Switch "Gaming out on race in Dungeons and Dragons" and an episode of Attitudes! on equal pay. The Code Switch podcast was very interesting to me specifically as I know many people who play D&D. I had never given it thought on how it can be seen as racist or the way that traits/points are assigned to certain races within the game. It was an interesting take and I am looking forward to listening to more of their podcasts. The Attitudes podcast had some interesting stats on equal pay day for different genders/races. I had never tried either of these podcasts before. If anyone has suggestions for other podcasts on diversity, please let me know.
