Tom Peterson 10/19/2022 10:19 AMI watched "Gather" on Netflix about indigenous people in America and their food sovereignty. I learned that lack of nutritious foods have created "food deserts" in impoverished areas such as on reservations, creating many health challenges for these people. They are attempting to regain sovereignty and health by reconnecting with their heritage and teaching newer generations how to live off the land and become food sovereign once again. -
