Tiffany Smith 10/14/2025 7:11 AMI picked take a daily walk as one of my goals. I haven't taken one walk!! 😔
I have taken several yoga and dance classes though!-
Kerry Keck 10/14/2025 11:33 AMYou may want to switch out the walk for the more generic exercise daily goal. Of course the most important thing is to get up and go, stimulaating your brain and your body - which you're doing! Congratulations.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhat did you learn about racial injustice in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of sustainability?
Tiffany Smith 10/13/2025 4:29 AMI watched the documentary "13th" that detailed how the criminalization of the black community led to the increase of the prison population that has negatively affected the family unity.
It also showed the big business that the prison system became. Profits over people yet again. 😔
It was heartbreaking. 💔 -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow does food sovereignty address the complex transition from localized food systems to modern global food systems?
Tiffany Smith 10/12/2025 1:59 PMI watched the documentary "Regaining Food Sovereignty". It explored the state of food systems in various Northern Minnesota Native communities and how they have been negatively impacted by government issued commodities.
According to a google search: Food sovereignty is the right of peoples to define their own food and agriculture systems, prioritizing healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through sustainable methods over market demands. It emphasizes the rights of those who produce, distribute, and consume food, giving them control over their own land, seeds, and natural resources, while also building local knowledge and working in harmony with nature. This contrasts with dominant food systems that are often controlled by large corporations, leading to social, economic, and environmental issues.
Sounds good, doesn't it? Unfortunately, big food and big pharma are in direct conflict with this theory/idea putting profits over people and causing sickness and disease to run rampant.-

Tiffany, we all need to listen to your warning about putting profits over people. That snowballs and becomes putting profits over the PLANET.
