If you add a little to a little, and then do it again, soon that little shall be much! i want to be part of that adding little by little to contribute to the environment we are living in

Plant trees take physical effort, there going to be a lot of sweating plating the tree = good for your physical health and looking at green just simply calm people down and make people feel relax, isnt it ?

Planting trees involves physical movement—digging, carrying, and lifting—which can contribute to cardiovascular health, improved strength, and flexibility. Regular physical activity in fresh air also promotes better sleep and energy levels.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
Why is it often difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places?

Yes, walking and biking may sound lonely, but you got closer to the sun and the nature, you have more time paying more attention to the surrounding like trees and squarrel, etc.

On bus or any public transit, i found myself too busy playing your cell phone not paying much attention to people and the outside environment

I agree with what Samantha posted. It's a relief not to have to handle the hassle of traffic, and it's also much safer to be on a bus or a train than in a car. This is more important to me than ever since people have been driving like crazy since the COVID shutdown, possibly because they got used to a lower level of traffic policing; I've personally witnessed several wrecks due to someone running a red light. A bus or train provides more protection in case of impact,

I think doing your own, quiet, thing when riding transit is normal. It actually can be a selling point for people who are new to transit. You can now use your commute time to read or crochet instead of sitting in your car, navigating the madness that is our highway system.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, school, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
New to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?

i have the concept of composting food at an earlier age, and since then i always feel sorry for throwing away food that can be used for composting. If i have a bigger space at home, i will compose food for growing plants. I will use citrus / pineapple skin as fermentation agent to make detergent too!!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
What are other ways you could use the power of the sun to reduce your own environmental footprint?

The back yard where I live is not set up to accommodate a regular clothesline, but we rigged up a small one and also figured out a way to hang items from the beam of the patio. A little creativity is saving a lot of energy now. :)
