    Simplicity Less Screen Time
What did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?

I chose to read my bible, pray, visit a loved one in the hospital or exercise with less screen time. These things helped me care for my physical and spiritual health. It also warmed my heart to be able to be there for my loved one and meet some of their needs. They are all a gift from God.

Bless you Lenora - while I don't any longer follow these indoctrinations I appreciate the strength, value and healing this kind of faith brings. Give me John Lennon's "Imagine" :). You go girl!

    End of Echochallenge

I enjoyed this Ecochallenge with all of you. I just want to share a quick Interesting Fact.

Most people think that fat is what contributes to high cholesterol levels. According to Dr. Bobby Price cholesterol is caused by sugar. Most Americans eat 152 1bs of sugar per year. Imagine that is the size of a grown women or man. Excess sugar will be converted into cholesterol. Cholesterol is in every cell of the body.

Consider: What can I do today to decrease my sugar intake?

Ok, it is the voting count down. Pray over this election! I pray over all of the elections TAKE YOUR SOLES TO THE POLLS. Voting effects lots of things. Continue to encourage your family and friends to vote. Stay informed on as many items as possible. That is the key to sustainability being informed of the problems, so that we can work towards a solution. Working together does not mean we agree on all things, but it can mean we can make processes to handle the issues at hand. Climate change is a huge issue. Yes, in MI on yesterday it was 80 degrees. That is Florida weather! I love it but yes it scares me that we have had 2 feet of snow at this time when I was younger. Find out the item on your ballot about climate control investigated it and vote to what speaks to your values.

Holly, I have been definitely been praying about this election and the U.S. as a whole. Some big things are about to happen and unfortunately, since God has been removed from a lot of our society, some of those things will not be good!

This challenge was tougher for me. I wasn't able to check in each day and due to weather conditions and personal reasons I didn't have as much time available to prioritize meeting my selected actions. Need to set new goals for making more of these items a priority to build better default behaviors.

Hey Tracy: Here is my default behavior.... I placed calendar reminder for 10 min. each day to check in. That worked for me hope next time you will be available to make this an obtainable commitment.

    Waste Repair a Broken Item
What did you fix and how did it go? Share a few pics if you can!

I fixed a shirt and sweatshirt with holes! I also have a giant pile of clothes that needs repairs or alterations. Knowing how to sew is super useful, mending clothes is a great way to extend the life of well-loved clothes. The best way to wear fashion sustainably is to keep wearing what you have!

Hi Courtney: This is a great way to length the life of our favorite items. I'm a decal queen. I love that here in MI "Joann Fabris, & Hobby Lobby " has a huge selection. I place them by sewing or ironing on jackets, pants & tops. Finding the time for another project is not easy. I do it while watching TV. Good Luck to your success of your projects.

I want to thank the members in my group on the Credit team for joining this challenge. Yes, of course, I think my presentation at one of our group meetings encouraged them, but I know the truth. They cared enough to take the time to be a part in making a different. We only had two days to go but sharing the email send about the big finish made me realize that once again I can truly say I enjoyed the process. This is our group at Forgotten Harvest is a non-profit food rescue organization that collects food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it free of charge to organizations feeding the hungry in Metro Detroit. In 2015, the nonprofit distributed more than 40 million pounds of food to more than 260 emergency food provided to the community.Great Job Comerica's. Now go out and change the world!

This has been an exciting project. Behavior changes are not always easy but very necessary. As we take small steps to enhance our lives let us continue to share our actions and plans with others. Suggest to your team mate to volunteer. Ask them what they are contributing to the environment (good or bad) to improve it or harm it. Let us stay hopeful and on track with doing our part to make others aware of sustaining our air, water and land.

    Community Sign Up to Vote
Why is voting important to creating a just, sustainable, and thriving world? In what other ways can you actively participate in important decision-making?

Voting is an important way to make sure your voice is heard. It's important to not just "do your research" but be educated on who you are voting for, how they align with your own values, and how they will help move the country, your state, your county, and your city forward. Learning about all the candidates on the ballot, in both primaries and general elections, and then voting is an effective way to make the changes you want to see in your community. Your governor, city council, or county board has the most effect on your local community, so it's important to educate yourself on their platforms. There are many other ways to engage in important civic decision-making, such as public hearings, protest, or calling or writing your local politicians.

Food Listen to a Food Podcast
What podcast did you choose and what did you learn on the podcast you listened to?

I listen to a pharmacist named Bobby Price on YouTube. I have learned a great deal and shared some of the things I learned through the Ecochallenge. Although he is wholly vegan, this is not my goal. However, I do try to limit my meat consumption and increase fruits and vegetables. And, even though I see some improvements, I realize that I can do a lot better. My sister does a good job prepping fruits and vegetables and freezing them early in the week for smoothies and for meals. This is smart and a good goal to achieve because all she does is take out what she needs throughout the week.
